To start off, not too long after we have landed in Palawan we searched for a restaurant that holds the pride of the Palawenos. (sorry can't find the (enye)) The tricycle driver took us to some place called Badjao Seafood Restaurant. At first, we're wondering where he'll brought us because we have been riding the tricycle for a good 20-30 minutes already when we finally reach the place it is really awesome. The photos will be posted soon. We had sweet and sour lapu-lapu which is really big and super fresh and eggplant with coconut milk which suited our tastes. We also got lucky because Mayor Hagedorn and Secretary Ace Durano and some VIPs were also there eating. With that, having those public personalities showing up there proved that Badjao is one of the best to eat in the whole of Puerto Princesa City. Plus factor is also the price, the service is OK. They offer a wide selection of mouth-watering dishes with an affordable price. I'll be wanting to come and eat there again.
Second stop is Kalui. This one is located in the city proper. It gives you a homey feeling. The setting is modernized hut with candles on each table as lighting, romantic I must say. A lot of tourists, local and foreigners alike who eat there because of the ambience. Although Badjao has more choices, I particularly love their dessert. They have set meals that already includes dessert. They are fruits in season placed on a young coconut shell with brown sugar on top of it that accentuated the flavor. It is really good. It is cheaper too.
